Hi there, I’m Kally Dennig and my husband is Tommy. It’s a pleasure to meet you! Together we own and operate Cushy Alpacas located on beautiful Lake St. John just 15 miles north of Ferriday, LA in the heart of Louisiana cotton country.

After years in the corporate world, Kally decided she wanted a less stressful lifestyle leading up to retirement. She wanted a business that would fit in with Tommy’s agricultural endeavors. They found alpacas fit the bill quite nicely! So in March of 2004 they purchased their first alpacas and since then there has been no stopping them.

Cushy Alpacas takes pride in its pursuit for excellence in breeding, pasture management and herd management. Cushy Alpacas is one of just a very few alpaca breeders in Louisiana and Mississippi. It’s in an area of the country where little is known about alpacas. It has been a bit of a challenge of educating the public and promoting alpacas, alpaca fiber, and alpaca end products all while continuing to thrive as a small breeding farm. But we have done it.
