Oscar is a beautiful little guy. His medium fawn fleece is dense and crimpy. Oscar holds a soft spot in our hearts. At age 6 months he quit growing. Blood work shows that he is Hyperthyroid (his thyroid produces too much of the T4 hormone). Oscar has no idea that he isn't a big boy and is living a happy and healthy life. At present he needs no special care or treatment and usually is contently living with any of our alpaca groups. The only group Oscar doesn't fit in with is the breeding males. He tries, but at 85 pounds he can't hold his own against the machos. However, right now he's working hard teaching our weanlings some manners! If we can't find a REALLY good home for him to go to he will always be welcome to live with us.
Oscar is halter and lead trained and trained in obstacles and PR. He has a mellow disposition and is a handsome boy that is simply a perfectly proportioned "mini" alpaca.
